Daily Meditation

In our daily meditation we practice "zazen" - which translates as something like absorbent sitting. In this type of meditation, we particularly pay attention to our breath and our physical posture. We "sit" together in silence, usually for 40 minutes (see schedule).

You are welcome to just swing by and join in.

We also offer an introduction to Zen practice at regular intervals. If you would like to be informed about the next introduction,  you can sign up here.

Further, you can find short beginner videos on Zen on a donation basis at the website of the Zen Buddhist Center Schwarzwald, to which we are related to.

Zen Days, Seminars & Courses

To engage more intensively with meditation, we regularly organize Zen days and seminars. On the Zen days we spend half a day or the whole day in silence and sit several 40 min periods in a row. To shake out the legs and relax the back, we walk "kinhin" (walking meditation) in between.

Ideally, you should have some meditation experience to take part in a Zen day. If you are unsure, just talk to us!
