In our daily meditation we practice "zazen" - which translates as something like absorbent sitting. In this type of meditation, we particularly pay attention to our breath and our physical posture. We "sit" together in silence, usually for 40 minutes (see schedule).

You are welcome to just swing by and join in.

We also offer an introduction to Zen practice at regular intervals. If you would like to be informed about the next introduction,  you can sign up here.

Further, you can find short beginner videos on Zen on a donation basis at the website of the Zen Buddhist Center Schwarzwald, to which we are related to.

All meditation times are donation based (suggestion 5€)

* Recitation: Teachings, known as sutras, are recited together rhythmically. It's not so much about understanding the words, but also about experiencing the sound created together. We recite the Heart Sutra in Sino-Japanese.
